Mela is a small pizza restaurant tucked away in the Gårda on Fabriksgatan, and the only food they serve is their excellent stone-oven baked pizza.

The Food
We had three pizzas – Bianca, La Bomba and Proscuitto
The Bianco is a ‘white’ pizza, or a pizza without the tomato base, with Västerbottenost (Västerbotten Cheese), mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes.
La Bomba is a simple pizza with the tomato base, cheese and a spicy pepperoni. Simple and awesome.
The Prosciutto is a tasty pizza with (you guessed it) prosciutto, tomato and ruccola.
The pizzas are the thin crust pizza, and finished perfectly in the oven.
Ambience
It is a simple setup – a small cozy restaurant where you can see the pizzas made and cooked in front of you. The cheerful guys making the pizza serve the pizza, so you have plenty of opportunities to interact with the pizza experts.
Should I Eat There?
If you’re planning on seeing an event at Ullevi or Scandinavium I’d recommend taking a ten minute walk down to Mela.
