The Air Force Museum in Linköping traces the history of the air force and conflict through the actual planes.
Sweden and the SAAB have developed aircraft for almost a century, right up to the present day’s Gripen fighter jet. It is a long history of development, and many examples from propeller planes to fighter jets and helicopters are on display in the museum. Not only are Swedish-designed and made aircraft on display, but also aircraft from other countries, including the Mustang fighter from World War 2.

A current installation is one about the cold war, with reproductions of family living rooms and kitchens from that era – not so long ago and yet the difference to today’s living are clear.
